Sabine Rohde presents herself:

I am born in Hamburg, Germany. Love this city, seaside, harbour, many foreigners, red light district, where I feel more safe than in the snobby rich suburb I am born, Buenos Aires like. We moved and travelled a lot during childhood. I dance, paint, sing – since ever. You can do these things together with people of many cultures – love it.

Tango Argentino became my home fast (and sometimes furious) after summer 1985. Since my entry in the Tango Argentino world I feel at home in both roles, queer friendly, open roles. Tango in all colors and shapes with respect and love !

The many first years were blessed with great tango dancers and loving people: Antonio Todaro who just sometimes was twirling his moustache, Pepito made my day by dancing a single Milonga with me, Gavito – many good old single malts – I miss you, Pina Bausch, Graciela Gonzales, Lucia Mazer, Maria Belen a.m.o. – my never ending admiration.

In´96 the tango led me more north. Denmark, Finland, Sweden. I settled for Denmark, now with 3 children, horses, cats and dogs and Homestead Tango.
